How to Install Updated Light Themes For Maverick 10.10 in Ubuntu 10.04 'Lucid Lynx'

Ubuntu Light themes were introduced as part of the larger Ubuntu branding overhaul that took place just before the release of Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. Now for the first time, major changes are happening to Ubuntu Light themes prior to the next major release, Ubuntu 10.10 'Maverick Meerkat' ie.

What's new in the updated Ubuntu Light themes?
Actually a lot of things. The new updated Ubuntu Light themes brings in a lot of polish. Unlike the original Ubuntu Light themes, which was a radical change from what we all used to see, the latest update deals more with the details of the original Light themes.

As you can see, the appearance of progress bars, scrubbers, checkboxes and radio buttons has been vastly improved and have received an added level of detail and clarity.

A more refined look for window buttons. But before installing these themes, please keep in mind that, themes are not final yet. They are largely a work in progress.
