Firefox 14.0.1 has just been released and since it is a major release, updates will be coming to official Ubuntu repositories soon. But for the impatient folks among you, here is how you upgrade to Firefox 14.0.1 from Firefox 13.0.1 in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin".

  • Simple add firefox-next PPA and upgrade, that is all you need to do.
  • Open Terminal (CTRL + ALT + T) and copy-paste the following commands.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-next
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
